Now Hiring: Assistant Director of Programs – Campus Grant

Full-Time Exempt | Reports to Senior Director of Programs 

 

Clery Center seeks an Assistant Director of Programs to manage the implementation of Clery Center’s Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Training and Technical Assistance (TA) grant and to support other programmatic offerings. This Assistant Director, reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, is primarily responsible for developing and delivering training curriculum, providing dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking subject matter expertise, and managing administrative logistics for Clery Center’s training and technical assistance to OVW Campus Program grantees. This is a time-limited, full-time position with funding from October 2022-September 2024 with a possible additional three year continuation.

Clery Center is recognized as the national leader in campus safety issues, and is credited with transforming the face of campus safety through its policy, advocacy, and educational programs.  

Roles & Responsibilities

Training & Facilitation (50%, inclusive of 30% spent on non-grant related initiative work)

  • Develop and deliver training on the Clery Act’s intersections with dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking through in-person and virtual presentations and webinars for campus grantees (20%)
  • Lead training, curriculum and resource development for Clery Center initiatives which includes dating violence, hazing, and fire safety (15%)
  • Support other Assistant Directors with Clery Center curriculum development, resource updates, and programming (15%)

Grant Management (25%)

 

  • Coordinate and manage administrative logistics for all technical assistance offerings to grantees, including policy reviews, Clery Checkups, and in-person or virtual trainings
  • Produce Clery Center virtual trainings for the Campus Program using the Zoom platform
  • Coordinate requested accommodations for Clery Center technical assistance offerings, including contracts and collaboration with translators and interpreters
  • Prepare, enter, and maintain Clery Center data in Salesforce

Grant Subject Matter Technical Assistance (25%)

  • Conduct reviews of grantee strategic plans to ensure integration of Clery Act goals in campus planning
  • Plan and conduct check-in calls with individuals in Campus Program grantee cohorts to provide on-going support and information throughout their time as a grantee
  • Plan and conduct cohort calls with grantees to provide opportunities for connection and peer-sharing across cohorts
  • Provide a high level of communication and service delivery to grantees, responding in a timely manner to inquiries and concerns  

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S or B.A.) required
  • Commitment to Clery Center’s organizational values of being mission driven, collaborative, innovative, inclusive, and authentic
  • Champions a multidisciplinary and prevention based approach to public safety that centers identity and lived experiences of campus community members
  • 2+ years of grant management and/or project management required
  • Experience with prevention of or response to dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking
  • Experience providing training facilitation or presentation of information at or with institutions of higher education preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, e-learning platforms, web-based applications, and virtual event planning preferred
  • Highly motivated and organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with the Clery Act
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Occasional travel required

Other Requirements

  • Ability to physically perform the duties listed above and work in the environmental conditions required such as maneuvering in an office or workspace, use of a computer/laptop for several hours at a time, using a headset and making phone calls
  • Must have access to a private workspace appropriate for virtual training coordination, reliable phone services, and high-speed internet
  • Must be able to work primarily Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM- 6:00 PM EST
  • All Clery Center employees are required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 unless granted an exemption due to a medical reason or a sincerely held religious belief

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $55,000-60,000 (commensurate with experience)
