Investigating Hazing Incidents - Virtual - March 5, 2026

Registration Deadline: March 3, 2026

Description:

Hazing continues to challenge campuses across the country, often hidden beneath traditions or group bonding rituals. With the Stop Campus Hazing Act now in effect, campuses will likely see increased reporting of hazing as these Clery Act requirements promote transparency and education. This workshop will equip higher education professionals—including student conduct staff, fraternity and sorority life professionals, and campus law enforcement—with practical tools to identify, investigate, and address hazing effectively.

Instructors will:

  • Review the Clery Act’s hazing-related requirements including policy statement elements for reporting and investigating hazing incidents
  • Explore what constitutes hazing and how to recognize its warning signs
  • Examine intersections between hazing and other Clery Act crimes
  • Engage participants through case studies, small group discussions, and interactive activities
Attend this workshop if you are:
  • Responsible for overseeing or responding to hazing reports
  • Supporting student organizations, Greek life, or campus safety initiatives
  • Interested in understanding how the Stop Campus Hazing Act impacts institutional policy and prevention work

Length: 4 hours

This session will not be recorded but materials, including the slide deck, will be shared in advance.
