Incorporating Stalking into Existing Programs & Resources

For college students, stalking is both common and potentially dangerous, yet it is often underrecognized compared to other forms of interpersonal violence. Because stalking frequently intersects with sexual violence, dating and domestic violence, and other harmful behaviors, and 18-24 year-olds experience the highest rates of stalking, campuses play a vital role in prevention and response efforts.

By incorporating stalking awareness into existing services and programs, campuses can improve prevention efforts and strengthen support for survivors. This session provides practical guidance on integrating free, ready-to-use resources from the Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center (SPARC) into current prevention and response programs. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies and tools to better identify and respond to stalking on campus.

Elevating Hazing Prevention to a Campus-wide Responsibility

Hazing is a campus safety issue that extends beyond fraternity and sorority life, yet prevention efforts often remain siloed. The Stop Campus Hazing Act (SCHA) amendments to the Clery Act require hazing prevention programming for the entire campus community and this session challenges institutions to reframe hazing as a shared responsibility tied to campus safety, reporting, and accountability.

Using the University of Florida’s Hazing Prevention Week model, which draws from socio-ecological theory and systems approaches and the development of a centralized Anti-Hazing Education Committee, this session provides a practical framework for building coordinated, campus-wide prevention systems. The session also highlights innovative, student-centered programming—such as trivia nights, escape rooms, Lunch and Learns, and immersive experiences—as high-impact strategies that increase accessibility and participation among students while actively reinforcing key prevention messages. Attendees will leave with tools to establish cross-campus partnerships, develop scalable prevention initiatives, and align hazing prevention with broader campus safety priorities.

Navigating Clery compliance can be complex and challenging in the best of times, and fiscally and reputationally costly at the worst of times. But what if your institution experienced a federal audit that resulted in a significant financial penalty and came out on the other side?

In this candid session, representatives from the University of Texas at San Antonio will provide an overview of their institution’s Clery audit, share steps that institutions can take to strengthen their Clery Compliance Program, and outline approaches for building effective partnerships among Clery, Title IX, and other key campus stakeholders.

Colleges and universities often meet compliance expectations—updated plans, annual training, and documented procedures—yet the first minutes of a real incident still produce hesitation, conflicting messages, and unclear handoffs.

This session focuses on closing the gap between compliance and execution without the need for new platforms or major budget investments. Participants will learn a simple set of vendor-neutral tools that improve first-minute performance: a one-page Operating Picture, a five-minute decision huddle to time-stamp choices and assign owners, and four plain-language message maps that prevent communication drift.

The session also offers a practical 30/60/90 implementation plan and three minimal metrics to demonstrate impact to leadership: time-to-decision, message consistency, and closure. Attendees will leave with templates and a ready-to-run micro-exercise they can use immediately to strengthen coordination, confidence, and execution under pressure.

Who is eligible?:

All individuals who register for the 2026 NCSAM Summit by 5:00 PM ET on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 and who are present during the closing remarks at approximately 4:45 PM ET on September 10, 2026 are eligible to participate. Individuals who register after this deadline may still attend the Virtual Summit but will not be eligible for the giveaway.

Attendance during the giveaway will be verified. If a selected registrant is not present or cannot be verified as attending, another eligible registrant may be selected.

No purchase or donation is necessary to enter or win. A purchase or donation will not improve your chances of winning.

The giveaways may be applied to a new Clery Center Membership or, for an existing Member, used toward the renewal of an eligible Membership. For current Institutional Members who already receive a discounted Membership rate, the 50% discount will be applied to their current discounted Membership price, not the standard Institutional Membership rate. Giveaways have no cash value and may not be transferred or exchanged for cash.

Giveaway winners will be selected live and at random from eligible registrants. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible registrants.
