Matthew Huffman | Senior Director of Programs
Matthew provides strategic leadership for Clery Center’s educational programs, training initiatives, and policy efforts, ensuring they align with and advance the organization’s mission of creating safer campuses. He oversees program development, training curriculum, consultation services, and technical assistance while supporting the growth and impact of Clery Center’s programs nationwide. Matthew also serves as a key liaison with government officials, higher education leaders, and national partners, helping to shape conversations around campus safety policy, compliance, and prevention. Through training, advocacy, research, and collaboration, he works to ensure Clery Center’s programs remain relevant, data-informed, and responsive to emerging trends affecting campus communities.

Prior to joining Clery Center, Matthew worked at the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence, most recently serving as the Chief Public Affairs Officer. In his time there he promoted collaboration and cross-training between campuses and community-based domestic/sexual violence agencies, directed the organization’s health equity initiatives, and advanced state and federal public policy priorities.
